Perspective
I got on my stomach on the ground to frame this shot. This photo represents a stark contrast between the castle in the distance, a fairytale, and the shoes, a memorial of the Jews who were shot into the water in WWII. I sat on the ground and stared at this scene for a long time before taking the picture. It was chilling. Hopefully the picture captures some of how I felt in that moment.
